Transcript
- ServLore compares your knowledge and flags contradictions, so nobody has to find them by accident in the field.
- Here two editions of the MX420 manual give different ranges for the operating pressure.
- Compare the two pages side by side.
- The newer, approved source is suggested. Resolve it, and the other value is marked as superseded.
- An outcome conflict comes from the service cases: a fix that did not work in one case, where another one did.
- Resolved contradictions stay on record, together with the reasoning.
ServLore compares your knowledge and lists every contradiction under Contradictions, so nobody has to find it by accident in the field. Every member except external partners can see the list; experts, knowledge managers and administrators settle it.
Three kinds
Section titled “Three kinds”| Kind | Example |
|---|---|
| Values | Two editions of a manual give different ranges for the same measurement. Units are converted before comparing. |
| Procedures | Two documents describe the same procedure with different steps. |
| Outcomes | A resolution did not fix the problem in one service case, while another one did. |
Each contradiction shows both sides with their source and its authority rank, and suggests the side from the newer or more authoritative source.
Step by step
