Transcript
  1. Machine models, installed assets and historical service cases can be imported from a spreadsheet.
  2. The import dialog lists the columns it reads.
  3. Choose a CSV or Excel file and start the import.
  4. Rows that already exist are skipped, and every problem is listed with its row number.
  5. The new machines are in the list, each with the revision that matches its serial number.

You do not have to type in what you already have. Import on the pages Machine models, Installed assets and Service cases reads a CSV file, comma or semicolon separated, or an Excel file.

Import One row per Columns
Machine models machine model family, code, name, description, revisions (separated by |)
Installed assets machine serial_number (required), machine_model (code, required), revision, customer, installation_date, manufacturing_date, status, notes
Historical service cases case reference (required), title, reported_at, closed_at, machine_model, serial_number, customer, description, error_codes, symptoms, cause, resolution, outcome, downtime_minutes, parts_used

Dates are written as YYYY-MM-DD or DD.MM.YYYY. Several values in one cell are separated by |.

  1. Open the page and choose Import. The dialog lists the columns it reads.
  2. Under File, choose your CSV or Excel file and choose Start import.
  3. When it is done, the summary shows how many rows were imported, how many were already there and how many had problems. Each problem is listed with its row number.
  4. Correct those rows in your file and import it again; rows that were imported are skipped.
  • Existing serial numbers, model codes and case references are skipped, so an import can be repeated safely.
  • Imported cases count as historical cases: their causes and resolutions rank in similar cases and in answers, like cases closed in ServLore.
