  1. The knowledge library holds every error code, symptom, cause, procedure and resolution, each tied to the machines it applies to.
  2. Search, or filter by kind, status and machine model.
  3. Open an item. Its relations link it to the causes, checks and resolutions around it.
  4. Its evidence shows where it comes from, down to the page.
  5. Closed service cases with this code show which causes and fixes were confirmed in the field.
  6. A procedure carries its safety messages word for word, just as the source states them.
  7. Experts and knowledge managers correct items directly, and every change is kept in the item's history.

The Knowledge library holds every knowledge item of your organisation: error codes, alarms, symptoms, measurements, conditions, causes, diagnostic actions, procedures, resolutions and expert notes. Each item applies to a product family, machine model, revision or component, and each can be traced to the document page or service case it comes from.

Type into Search, or filter by kind, status and machine model. Safety-critical only shows the items that always need an expert’s decision. The link Contradictions above the list shows how many are open.

  1. Open an item from the list.
  2. Knowledge item shows its description, its attributes, such as the expected range of a measurement or the steps of a procedure, and where it applies.
  3. Relations link it to the items around it: a code that Indicates causes, a cause Diagnosed by a check and Resolved by a fix, with how often each was confirmed in service cases.
  4. Evidence names the sources, down to the page. Page opens it with the passage marked.
  5. Historical cases lists closed cases with the same error code or symptom.
  6. History records every change, decision and new piece of evidence.

Experts, knowledge managers and administrators edit an item in its Edit card, add relations with Add relation, evidence with Add evidence and, for procedures and resolutions, spare parts with Add spare part. New knowledge item in the list creates one by hand. Decisions on an item are taken under Verification history; see Verify knowledge.
