Ask the AI Service Engineer
Who can do this:Every role
Transcript
- The AI Service Engineer answers service questions from your organisation's own knowledge, never from the open internet.
- First tell it which machine you are working on: type the serial number from the nameplate and look it up.
- The installed asset, with its model and revision, now frames every answer.
- Describe the problem in your own words. Any language works.
- Send the question.
- The answer comes in your language, with its confidence and whether it follows an approved procedure.
- Each statement is backed by numbered evidence from manuals, bulletins and confirmed cases, even when the documents are written in German.
- Open a source to see the page itself, with the quoted sentence marked.
- Back in the answer, the diagnosis lists the likely causes, the most likely first.
- Tell the assistant whether the answer helped. This is how the knowledge keeps getting better.
- If the fault turns into a job, create a service case straight from the conversation.
The AI Service Engineer answers service questions only from your organisation’s knowledge: the manuals, bulletins and procedures you uploaded, the knowledge items your experts verified and the service cases your team closed. It never draws on the open internet, and it tells you when the evidence is not enough.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”- Open AI Service Engineer in the menu, or type your question into the box on the dashboard.
- Set the machine context. Type the serial number from the nameplate and choose Look up, pick a machine model from the list, or scan the nameplate. The installed asset brings its model, revision, customer and modification history into every answer.
- Describe the problem in your own words: the error code, what you see, hear or measured. Any language works; the answer comes in yours.
- Choose Send. The answer shows its confidence and whether it follows an approved procedure.
- Check the Evidence. Each numbered entry names the knowledge item, the document and the page. Choose Page to open the page itself with the quoted sentence marked.
- Follow the Diagnosis: likely causes first, then possible and unlikely ones, and the next step to take.
- Rate the answer with Helpful or one of the other ratings. See Rate an answer.
- If the fault becomes a job, choose Create service case: the conversation, the asset and the error code are carried over.
What the labels mean
Section titled “What the labels mean”| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| High, medium, low confidence | How well the evidence supports the answer. Low confidence is a prompt to check the evidence yourself. |
| Insufficient evidence | The sources do not answer the question. The assistant says so and offers to escalate to an expert. |
| Approved procedure | Every cited item is expert confirmed or officially approved. |
| Informational guidance | The answer rests on items that are not yet verified. |
| Expert review recommended | A safety rule fired; the draft answer is held back until an expert decides. |
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Photos help: choose Add photo to attach up to four pictures of a display, a part or a leak.
- Choose Read aloud to hear the answer, useful with gloves on.
- Conversations stay in the list on the left, so you can continue later or share the reasoning with a colleague.
- Your organisation decides which knowledge the assistant may cite for safety-critical questions; see Organisation settings.
